"Our family was changed long before Cristian and I were married. I was diagnosed with T1D in July 2009, at age 10, the summer before heading into middle school. Since being diagnosed our family has been heavily involved with JDRF, starting out with Rachel’s involvement in Indianapolis, IN, before coming to college here in Alabama. Over the past couple of years, we have been fortunate to serve on the Gala Committee, Junior Board, and the Community Engagement Team that serves all the Southern States.

With the vast advancements from new technology, made possible by JDRF’s research funds, our mission is to help JDRF raise money to further that research. We are honored to serve as this years gala chairs and share the importance JDRF has had in our lives. Our goal is to inspire others through sharing our story.
